A big THANK YOU to CORY and CAMERON FOLSOM from Augusta, Maine. In collaboration with Back 40 MX track, they raised over $2,000.00 for the India orphan children!
Three of ’our’ girls, (sisters), were taken from Emmanuel orphanage back in September by their older brother for a supposed ‘family visit’. Our suspicions arose when the girls were not returned. Pastor Thudian informed me, to which I contacted human trafficking in the US as well as India. With efforts from many caring people we were able to track the girls down – 2 1/2 day train ride away from the brother. Sunitha from human trafficking was able to contact the brother and inform him that his intensions concerning his sisters would be turned into the authorities if he had one finger laid on these girls. Please keep in mind – women are not respected in India and are deemed worthless except to be used in trafficking to make money. As we were in India late November, I was able to speak with the girls directly. The brother is to have the girls back safely to the orphanage in Ernakulam, South India by the years end.
Please keep the girls in prayer. ( ages 11, 14, 16)
thank you, debby
